The leather has that soft, almost pebbled feel that should only get better with age, and the padded body keeps its shape even when it's not full. I've been reaching for it daily since it arrived, and it's the perfect size for a phone, cardholder, and lip balm without feeling bulky.
I wasn't sure about the padded look, but it gives the bag a lovely squishy feel that's actually really comfortable against my hip. The envelope flap closure is such a clever nod to stationery, and it's held up perfectly through daily metro rides and coffee runs.
